W.G. Tucker & Associates, Inc., a nationwide executive search firm, conducts searches across all career disciplines and for a wide variety of industries ranging from manufacturing, chemicals, and energy companies, to banking, consumer products, health care, and non-profit and public agencies.
Our firm’s mission is to develop long-term business partnerships with companies and organizations to fill key management and executive level positions. Operating under a retained search agreement allows our firm to focus its efforts and provide dedicated search so that we can fill our clients’ most important positions in a timely manner.
W. G. Tucker provides standard retained search for senior and executive level positions, as well as an Opportunistic Hiring Recruitment Program focused on development of a pipeline of candidates for consideration for various staff and mid-level management positions within an organization.
STANDARD RETAINED SEARCH
This program is designed for completion of a single search assignment, and fees are paid in three installments. Our fees are based upon a percentage of the potential candidate’s first year’s projected compensation, inclusive of any signing bonuses. The first one-third of the fee is paid at the commencement of the search assignment; the second third is due several weeks into the search process after the first group of candidates has been delivered; and the balance is due upon the successful completion of the search.

OPPORTUNISTIC HIRING PROGRAM
Today, the trend in many major corporations is to develop preferred vendor partnerships with specialized suppliers to efficiently and cost-effectively service various aspects of their business.
With this in mind, W. G. Tucker & Associates designs professional recruitment programs for clients who require ongoing focused search efforts or that want to provide a ready pipeline of candidates to seed new talent into their organization. This program is an excellent vehicle for supplying those talented managers and professionals who will significantly contribute to a company’s future growth. A dedicated Project Manager/Executive Search Consultant, who is responsible for recruitment, coordination and quality assurance, is assigned to the client to oversee the contract. Fees for this type of program are based upon the number of positions our client expects to fill over a minimum six-month period, and are billed monthly. A discounted bill-back fee is also charged as placements are made.SEARCH METHODOLOGY
Careful Preparation –
In our initial discussions with the client, we thoroughly determine the client’s needs, establish the focus and direction of the search, and develop and refine the position specifications. We obtain information about the client company’s history, challenges, and strategic business and staffing plans.
Aggressive Search –
We search the field by discreetly utilizing our nationwide professional contacts and resources to locate the best qualified candidates available in the industry. Since many potential candidates may not be actively seeking a new position, they must be aggressively sought out and attracted to the opportunity.
Thorough Screening –
Candidates are thoroughly interviewed to obtain a realistic appraisal of their capabilities, accomplishments, and potential. You are assured of interviewing only qualified candidates who meet your specifications and who are serious about the position. We also educate candidates on the career challenges and benefits associated with joining your organization.
Professional Coordination –
Our firm will schedule and coordinate interviews, provide feedback to both the client and the candidate, and negotiate the terms of employment to bring about a smooth transition. This includes, but is not limited to salary, hiring bonuses (if applicable), starting date, relocation package, and any potential counter-offers.
Thorough Reporting –
At various intervals throughout the search, our firm provides the client with a report of our continuing activities supporting their assignment. These reports are typically submitted every two to three weeks.
Reference Checking, Verification of Credentials, and Credit Checks – Because we embrace the belief that past performance and accomplishments are predictors of future success, we conduct thorough reference checks on each candidate that the client wishes to pursue. Additionally, we will verify educational credentials and perform criminal, motor vehicle, and credit checks at the request of the employer.
Negotiation of Offer & Closing –
Once a final candidate has been selected, we serve as an intermediary between the client and candidate to ensure a successful conclusion to the search. We provide the client with recommendations on making the compensation and benefits package attractive, and we provide coaching on how to present the offer.
Post Placement –
We believe our commitment goes beyond the completion of the search. W. G. Tucker & Associates, Inc. will maintain contact with both the client and the candidate during the transition and through the first year to make certain that the transition is a smooth one.

OUR GUARANTEE
W.G. Tucker & Associates, Inc. provides its clients with a six-month guarantee on each candidate placed by our search firm. If for any reason, other than a work stoppage, restructuring, or lay-off, the selected candidate voluntarily severs their employment with the client company, our firm will initiate another search at no additional fee. To validate the guarantee, the client company must pay the balance of the fee within ten (10) working days of the candidate’s starting date of employment.
